Trinidad T20 Festival 2024: Top run-getters and wicket-takers after Central Sports vs Marchin Patriots Sports Club (Updated) ft. Isaiah Rajah

QPCC I registered an 84-run win against Merryboys Sports Club in the first game of the Trinidad T20 Festival 2024 while Central Sports secured a six-wicket win against Marchin Patriots Sports Club in the second encounter of the campaign.

Shifting our focus to the first game, QPCC I notched up an imposing total of 245/4 in 20 overs. Opener Isaiah Rajah was the star batter, smacking 87 runs in 45 balls with nine fours and four sixes.

Isaiah Rajah was properly supported by Yannic Cariah (48) and Jyd Goolie (40*) as they neared a highly dominating total in 20 overs. Namir Suepaul pocketed two wickets, conceding 39 runs in his four-over spell.

In reply, Merryboys Sports Club could score only 161/9 in 20 overs, losing the game by 84 runs. Andrew Rambaran shined with 55 runs as the team’s top-scorer. Khary Pierre bagged three wickets to take his side to a big win.

Moving to the second contest, Marchin Patriots Sports Club secured a meager total of 98 in 15.5 overs. Jamar Ifil emerged as the top scorer with 24 runs. Akeem Jordan claimed four wickets while Rayad Emrit starred with a three-wicket haul.

In response, Central Sports finished off the chase in 12 overs, securing a win by six wickets. Jesse Bootan (35), Kamil Pooran (24), and Keagan Simmons (20) played important roles with the bat to propel their side to a brilliant win.

Isaiah Rajah secured the top spot in the standings with 87 runs while Andrew Rambaran made it to the second rank with 55 runs in the batting standings. Yannic Cariah (48) and Jyd Goolie (40) settled for the third and fourth positions, respectively.

Jesse Bootan (35) clinched the fifth spot in the tally. Joshua Da Silva (27), Philton Williams (26), and Jordan Warner (25) respectively occupied the sixth, seventh, and eighth positions on the leaderboard.
