Legendary cricketers Sachin Tendulkar and Muttiah Muralitharan engaged in a conversation ahead of the IPL 2023 clash between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Sunday afternoon.

Sachin is the mentor for the MI side, while Muralitharan is the spin bowling coach of SRH. They met each other at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, the venue for the last league game of their respective franchises.

IPL's official Instagram handle shared a video to give fans a glimpse of the interaction between the iconic duo. It was captioned:

We just want to win the game: MI captain Rohit Sharma

Speaking after winning the toss, Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma opted to field first and stated that their focus is primarily on winning the match and that they are not thinking much about net run rate. He felt that the pitch might get better to bat in the second innings. Rohit said:

"We're going to chase. It's just the nature of the pitch and something we're very comfortable doing. It makes a difference. Looking at the pitch it looks a little dry as well. Whatever the pitch has to offer it will offer in the first half.

"As the game goes on and the sun sets it should get better to bat on. Couple of changes - Shokeen is not playing, Kumar Kartikeya comes in place of him.

He added:

"We just want to win the game. We're not looking at how we want to win the game. We want to play our best cricket at the end of the day and see what we can achieve. Winning the game is important to give us a chance.

"We don't want to look too far ahead. All the team talks have been about that. No matter how the conditions are or the pitch is, you have to play."
