Rajasthan Royals’ star all-rounder Shane Watson is set to miss the first IPL match of the Royals against Delhi Daredevils, to be played in Delhi this Saturday.
Reports claim that the hard-hitting Australian right-hander, who played a significant role in his team’s successful IPL campaign in the inaugural edition of the league, would be unable to reach Delhi before the match. However, he is expected to be fit and available for selection from the second game onwards.
West Indian bowling all-rounder Kevin Cooper is also doubtful for the first match of the Royals as he was seen with his right knee wrapped up in an ice pack during the team’s practice session.
