South Africa vs England

South Africa is set to host England for 4 Tests, 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is in their home season, which will begin with boxing Test at Centurion. After the England series, Australia will travel to the African nation to play 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is, which are scheduled to begin next year on 21st February.

The 4-match Test series against England would be a part of the ICC Test Championship. The window for the ICC Test Championship will open from the Ashes after the World Cup. The last time that these two met in England, the hosts won the Test series comfortably with a 3-1 margin. It was 2015 when South Africa hosted a Test series against England and lost by a 2-1 margin. Since then, they have won the seven consecutive Test series at home, before losing a historical series against Sri Lanka in 2019.

When it came to limited overs Cricket, England dominated the last ODI series between them at home by winning the 3- match series by 2-1. South Africa had a good outing against Australia in the recent ODI series. They whitewashed the Aussies in the five-match ODI series at home, and also won the away ODI series. However, Australia would be feeling high on confidence once Steve Smith and David Warner return to the squad. Hence, we can expect a competitive bilateral series.

The home season is a good six months away, and their primary focus would be the upcoming World Cup.
