Tightening the noose around BCCI and N Srinivasan, the Supreme Court of India today proposed the top cricket body to make Sunil Gavaskar the interim president and review the participation of Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals in IPL 7.

Talking to NDTV, here are the comments of Sunil Gavaskar along with other ex-cricketers and experts on SC’s proposals:

Sunil Gavaskar on a possibility of a ban on IPL: “Any cricket lover will feel sad if Chennai doesn’t play IPL. They have given a lot of joy to fans. If the Supreme Courts asks me to do something, I will be happy to do it. As opening batsmen, have to be ready for all challenges. Will do anything to the best of my ability.”

Sunil Gavaskar on N Srinivasan: “Srinivasan innocent till proven guilty. Can’t pass opinion on Supreme Court. Will have to wait and see what is the direction the Supreme Court gives. Let’s not jump the gun.”

Anil Kumble, who’s the Chief Mentor of Mumbai Indians: “Let’s wait for the verdict of the Supreme Court and all of us as law abiding citizens will abide by it.”

Rahul Dravid, who was the captain of Rajasthan Royals last year: “The matter is sub judice, do not want to comment now.

Krishnamachari Srikkanth: “Ultimately the SC is supreme and I think everyone will follow it.”

Charu Sharma: “With IPL 2 weeks away, to suspend 2 teams will shake an otherwise successful league.”
