Red Bull aero wizard Adrian Newey has reportedly denied any offer to move to Aston Martin, as per F1 journalist Peter Windsor.

Recent reports claim that Newey plans to leave Red Bull soon, the reason being the turmoil created after team principal Christian Horner was under investigation for alleged misbehavior with employees. Since then, speculation of Newey's next move have emerged.

It seems apparent that the 65-year-old wants to move to a top-performing team after almost two decades with Red Bull. The top three choices for him are thought to be Ferrari, Mercedes and Aston Martin. According to Windsor, though, Newey is not willing to move to the latter.

Fans on social media were seemingly excited with the report. Many feel Adrian Newey could now move to Ferrari, with one writing:

"Surely that means Ferrari?"
"It's got to be designing a Ferrari," wrote another fan.

Some also feel like a door could open for Mercedes to improve their fortunes.

Some fans also commented on Lance Stroll's performance with the team being one of the reasons for his reported denial.

"Good. He couldn’t work with Stroll," another user wrote.

Adrian Newey's decision to leave Red Bull revolves around personal issues with Christian Horner allegations -Reports

While nothing has been made official yet, F1 pundit Mark Hughes says that Adrian Newey's decision to leave Red Bull is related to the recent Christian Horner controversy. Recently, allegations arose against the team's principal for inappropriate behavior with employees.

Although the allegations were cleared after an internal investigation, it left the team in turmoil. Mark Hughes wrote that it's one of the reasons why Newey plans to leave Red Bull.

"It’s not as if Newey would be departing because of a general malaise within the team, either; this is very much a personal issue based around the Christian Horner controversy regarding the employee who served as PA to both Horner and Newey."

He also mentioned the top choices for the aero wizard, which could be the top-running teams as mentioned earlier.

"As for what Newey’s plans beyond leaving the team might be, there’s been a natural assumption that he wishes to make a move - to Ferrari, or Aston Martin, or even Mercedes. But that’s not something we can assume. There is no intelligence leaking out from anywhere that he has any sort of agreement with another team."
