Carlo Ancelotti's time at Bayern Munich has come to an end. While some sources say he has been sacked, other reports suggest that he has been sacked.

Bayern's humbling loss at Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday was the final nail in the coffin.Their loss to the Ligue 1 side was their biggest Champions League group-stage defeat in 21 years.

The German side's CEO, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge had warned there would be consequences following the defeat and the axe has been brought out quicker than expected.

Here are 5 managers who could be the replacements at the Allianz-Arena:

#5 - Thomas Tuchel

Former Borussia Dortmund manager, Thomas Tuchel is reportedly the leading candidate according to BILD. The German was sacked by BVB after the end of the 2016/17 season and is currently unemployed.

Reports last months linked him with a move to Chelsea but Antonio Conte is still in-charge at Stamford Bridge and is in no mood to leave them. West Ham United were the latest club to be linked with Tuchel but the German reportedly rejected the approach.

Bayern Munich are keen on appointing a manager who has enough experience in Bundesliga and Tucfhel fits the bill perfectly. Though his time at Dortmund wasn't a successful one, he managed to bring up some amazing talents and also fight with 'limited' resources.

#4 - Mauricio Pochettino

Mauricio Pochettino is currently one of the best managers in world football. The Argentine has changed Tottenham from a mid-table side to a title challenging team.

He has managed to make the best of the resources provided at White Hart Lane and make them one of the best sides in England. He suits Bayern's needs perfectly and it wouldn't be a surprise if they make a move for him.

Pochettino will have a better squad, budget and the chance to manage one of the best clubs in Europe. He loves working with young talents and that is something he would have on offer should he take the Bayern job.

#3 - Jurgen Klopp

Klopp has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich for a long time now. Ever since he won the title with Dortmund, it was rumoured that Bayern were keeping an eye on him.

He was linked with the move last year as well when the German side did not go off to a flying start under Carlo Ancelotti. Now with the managerial role vacancy at Allianz Arena and Kopp saying that he would leave Liverpool if he hadn't won the title in 3 years time, this might just happen.

Bayern Munich have been in touch with Klopp regarding a move back to Germany according to various reports and it won't be a surprise if it finally happens at the end of the season.

#2 - Julian Nagelsmann

Easily Bayern Munich's #1 choice right now. Nagelsmann is just 30-years-old but is one of the best managers in the Bundesliga right now.

He took charge of Hoffenheim in October 2015 and took them out of the relegation zone and finished 15th in the Bundesliga. He then guided them to finish 4th in the 2016/17 season, taking them into the UEFA Champions League play-offs in the next season.

Nagelsmann's tactics of possession play suit Bayern Munich. He loves playing 3-5-2 just like Antonio Conte but can switch it to a 5-3-2 should the opponents be a more attacking side.

He can turn out to be their Sir Alex Ferguson. He's got a lot of time left in his career but they will only be able to appoint him next summer.

#1 - Willy Sagnol

Carlo Ancelotti's current assistant manager is reportedly the hot favourite right now to succeed at Bayern Munich until the end of the season. The Frenchman who spent nine years at the club as a player joined Ancelotti's backroom staff this summer.

He does not have a lot of experience as a manager as he has only managed France U21 and Bordeaux. He was at the Ligue 1 side for 1.5 years before he was sacked.

He finished sith in Ligue during his the first season (2014/15) that included wins over AS Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain. However, his 2nd season did not go as planned.

He was sacked in March after a 4-0 defeat to arch-rivals, Toulouse. How he will end up managing Bayern for the season is going to be very interesting to see. Should he impress, he might just end up getting the job on a permanent basis.
