Reports: Cesc Fabregas to almost double his wages with move to Chelsea

Fabregas to get his wages doubled at Chelsea.

Cesc Fabregas is likely to almost double his weekly wage packet with a move to Chelsea, with The Mirror reporting that his £100,000 weekly wage will rise to almost £200,000.

The Mirror also believe that Chelsea are on the cusp of completing the deal for the Barcelona midfielder, for a fee believed to be in the region of £27 million.

Fabregas’ move to Stamford Bridge has been mooted for some time, with reports yesterday suggesting that the deal will be completed once Ivan Rakitic has moved from Sevilla to Barcelona.

Believed to be on the verge of completing his move, Fabregas will see his wages significantly increased from their current level.

Personal terms are said to have already been negotiated between Fabregas and Chelsea, leaving a medical as the only obstacle to any deal. The 27 year old central midfielder reportedly agreed terms with the London side last week before flying off to the World Cup.

With a fee and wages believed to be agreed, he will now likely undergo a medical from Spain’s World Cup base in order to complete the formalities of the £27 million move.

Fabregas made 36 league appearances for Barcelona last season, scoring eight goals and assisting 13.
