Chelsea have declared their squad for the 2014-15 Champions League

Chelsea have announced their squad for the 2014-15 Champions League as they aim to go beyond the semi-finals this time round. After having strengthened their squad well in the summer, the Londoners and their boss Jose Mourinho will be looking to lift the Champions League trophy this season.

The Blues have named a 25 man squad, with 20 “List A” players and 5 “List B” players. They have included Michael Beeney, Nathan Ake, Andreas Christensen, Lewis Baker and Jeremie Boga from the youth team.

There can be a maximum of 25 players on List A and an unlimited number on List B to make up the final squad. Players are eligible for List B if they are 21 years of age or younger and have been eligible to play for the club for at least two uninterrupted years since their 15th birthday. Between the two lists, every Champions League side must have at least eight home-grown players, and at least four of those must be club-trained.

The squad:

Goalkeepers: Petr Cech, Thibaut Courtois, Michael Beeney.

Defenders: John Terry, Nathan Ake, Gary Cahill, Branislav Ivanovic, Cesar Azpilicueta, Filipe Luis, Kurt Zouma, Andreas Christensen.

Midfielders: Nemanja Matic, Ramires, Cesc Fabregas, John Obi Mikel, Eden Hazard, Willian, Oscar, Mohammad Salah.

Forwards: Andre Schurrle, Didier Drogba, Loic Remy, Diego Costa, Jeremie Boga, Lewis Baker.
