Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku is set to move to Spain after having two offers already this summer due to Diego Costa’s impending move to Stamford Bridge, according to the Daily Mirror.

It is believed that La Liga champions Atletico Madrid asked for Lukaku to be part of the Costa transfer, that is likely to cost the Blues around £32 million. Valencia are also thought to have made an offer for Lukaku and are willing to spend £18 million on the Belgian forward.

Lukaku, who is on international duty with Belgium ahead of the World Cup, was sent out on loan to Everton last season where he scored 15 Premier League goals. The year before, he was on loan at West Bromwich Albion where he scored 17 in his debut Premier League season.

The young striker, who is still only 21, has a bright future ahead of him and is set to star for his country in the World Cup in Brazil this summer. A good tournament from the striker and Chelsea can increase his price-tag considerably.

Atletico already have strong links with Chelsea, having taken goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois on loan for three seasons in a row. The Belgian is now likely to return to the Bridge to battle with Petr Cech to be next season’s first choice.

That could help the Spaniards in negotiations for Lukaku, who they hope to bring in on loan for a season. Another loan is probably not what Lukaku would be hoping for but a chance to play regularly to the reigning Spanish champions as well as play in the Champions League would be too much to turn down.
