Lionel Messi has finally signed an extension with FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona lied about Philippe Coutinho's quoted price of €200 million

Balague revealed, "Regarding the alleged €200m (£183m) demand from Liverpool - Liverpool always denied they had said that and they insisted day one that Coutinho was not for sale. That is 100 per cent true. Barcelona said that someone from Liverpool told them 'we can start talking from the €200m (£183m) mark'. That is not totally true. Liverpool never said that."

With Barcelona's talisman entering his final year of his current deal, tension has increased among the fan base about their favourite player's future. But Sky Sports has revealed that an agreement has been reached with the club and Messi's father with an announcement imminent in September.
