Vurnon Anita is set to move to the Premier League with Newcastle.

Newcastle United have agreed a 9 million euro deal to bring Ajax captain Vurnon Anita to the Premier League.

The central midfielder, who can also play in defense, was a long-term target for the Magpies and the player has now signed a five year contract with the club.

Magpies goalkeeper Tim Krul, Anita’s international team-mate was supposedly influential in convincing the player to move to England. Krul has also tweeted that a couple more signings are on the way.

The signing will boost the Newcastle squad who make a return to European football this season, in the Europa League.

Song set to join Barcelona.

Arsenal are set to lose another key member of their squad with Alex Song reportedly set to join Barcelona.

Arsenal had already indicated that they would sell the midfielder if his valuation was met. Goal.com have now reported that a 15 million pound deal has been agreed between the two clubs and Arsenal have given Song the go-ahead to discuss personal terms.

Song would be the second Arsenal player to leave for the Catalan club in two years, following Cesc Fabregas who left in 2011.

Cesar Azpilicueta on his way to Chelsea

Chelsea are set to finalize the signing of Marseilles right-back Cesar Azpilicueta for a fee between 8-10 million euros.

The club were in the market for a new right-back after they decided not to extend a contract with Jose Bosingwa earlier this summer.

Azpilicueta’s agents have reportedly already flown into London to discuss personal terms.

Bosingwa, however, looks set to stay in London, with the Daily Mail claiming that QPR are interested in signing the player, who being a free agent, would represent a very signing for the club.

Sinclair refuses new deal

Swansea winger Scott Sinclair has reportedly told manager Michael Laudrup that he won’t be signing a new contract at the club as rumors linking him with a move to Manchester City continue to fly around,

Laudrup himself confirmed the news of Sinclair’s refusal to the media on Thursday but refused to confirm a bid for the player from City. The manager added that he would yet not hesitate in picking the player for the match against QPR as no move had materialized yet.

Swansea will be loath to sell Sinclair after having sold Joe Allen to Liverpool but will be hard pressed to refuse a cash-rich offer from City.
