Opening day defeats, to Aston Villa and Liverpool respectively, must have been a wake-up call to both Arsenal and Stoke as since then both sides come are unbeaten in all competitions.

Mikel Arteta could make his first appearance of the season for Arsenal, but Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Lukas Podolski, Tomas Rosicky, Abou Diaby and Yaya Sanogo remain sidelined because of injury.

On the other hand, Stike City are looking to record their first win at the Emirates. The new summer signing Striker Marko Arnautovic is expected to replace Kenwyne Jones.
