Arsenal and Spurs linked with South American superstar with 80% shot accuracy

Ezequiel Lavezzi

Paris St Germain forward Ezequiel Lavezzi has emerged as the latest striker to be linked to Arsenal, as the Gunners look to ease the burden on top scorer Olivier Giroud. Lavezzi only joined the French side 15 months ago but, according to the Daily Express, is interesting a host of Europe’s top side including both Arsenal and Tottenham.

Sick of playing second fiddle to Zlatan Ibrahmiovic in the PSG front-line, Lavezzi is rumoured to be seeking a move. Such news has put both North London sides, as well as Milan duo Inter and AC, on red alert.

Lavezzi is said to be eager for more first team action ahead of next summer’s World Cup in Brazil. The Argentine has yet to complete a league game for PSG this season, making four appearances from the bench and being subbed off in all of his other seven games.

Paris-Saint-Germain paid £23m to prise Lavezzi from Napoli last year, and it is believed that a similar fee would be needed to acquire the 28 year old’s services this time around.

Both of Arsenal and Tottenham could do with another forward player. League leaders Arsenal are in desperate need of a forward player to provide competition for Giroud, whilst Spurs have only scored nine league goals since the summer loss of Gareth Bale.

Lavezzi has a shot accuracy of 80% this season
