#5 Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)

Liverpool v Chelsea - Premier League
The signing of the season?

Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp will be more than happy with the signing of Mo Salah, an investment that has proved to be the best this season.

The 25-year-old has been in electric form since making the switch from AS Roma to England and has definitely repaid the fees after Liverpool splashed the cash to make him their record signing.

Salah has justified the tag of the "signing of the season" and will hope to continue his form into 2018.

The Egyptian's record of 9 goals in 12 outings, beat the long-standing record of Kop legend Robbie Fowler's 8 goals in the same number of games. He also matched Daniel Sturridge's club record for most Premier League goals after the first 13 outings.

Salah is favourite to win the CAF player of the year award, after being named BBC African player of the year and will hope next year brings better fortunes.

Just months into his Reds career, Salah is looking set to etch his name into the history books of Liverpool and the football world at large.

The prolific goalscorer has been in awesome form this year, earning a place in the three-man final list for the African Player of The Year award, and he will be hoping to win the gong for the second time.

When Aguero first touched the ball in a City shirt against Swansea City back in 2011, he looked destined to be named among the greats at the club. He went on to score a brace in that match and has not stopped scoring since then.

The Argentine broke Eric Brook's record of 177 goals to become the highest goalscorer in the club's history. This was achieved when he scored his 178th goal against Napoli in the Champions League to become the Citizens' highest goalscorer in the history of the club.

Aguero set the new record in 6 years and is still looking to create further records in the sky blue shirts of Manchester City.

With talks of him being unhappy under Pep Guardiola, and a possibility of him leaving at the end of the season. Aguero will forever be remembered by the fans of the blue half of Manchester, as he makes his way into the history books.
