Forlan on target ahead of Uruguay-Spain friendly

Porto Alegre, Feb 4 (IANS): Striker Diego Forlan fine-tuned his preparation for Uruguay’s friendly against Spain slated Wednesday by scoring in Internacional‘s 2-1 victory over Gremio in Brazil’s Campeonato Gaucho.

Forlan struck in the 38th-minute with a sublime left-footed finish from a tight angle at the Colosso da Lagoa Stadium, Sunday.

Forlan said he was close to reaching peak form after managing just five goals in 19 appearances for Inter following his August move from Italy’s Inter Milan.
