Brazilian legend Mario Zagallo criticizes Neymar

Neymar is one of Brazil’s most important players

Former Brazil great Mario Zagallo has criticized superstar Neymar for his maturity despite how good the player has been over the last few months. The former player feels Neymar has to become more mature in order to further his development.

The 84-year-old acknowledged how good the player is at first. Speaking to Globo's Extra he said, “I like him [Neymar] a lot. He is an exceptional player, he's got everything it takes to go on even further, but he needs to develop an awareness that he's leading the Brazilian national team,”

Neymar has been picking up unnecessary bookings in the past few games for Brazil. He received a yellow card in the game against Uruguay when Brazil drew 2-2 and missed the match against Paraguay where Brazil once again only managed a draw.

But Zagallo warned the Barcelona forward about his discipline and commitment towards the game saying, “He can't step out of line. He's not as mature as he should be.”

The comments were probably in reference to a recent incident that took place after one of Brazil’s recent matches. According to reports, Neymar was pictured in a nightclub after the Uruguay draw.

And the former coach of the national team was not impressed with the story saying, “Like it or not, these problems will be going round and round in his head. These are the sort of problems which we can't be having,In some part, he's to blame. His father is the one who deals with these matters, but he's the one playing.”

The Brazil coach has seen several players in his time who have faded away because of their carefree nature and he does not want the forward to follow a similar path. “Anyone who finds themselves mixed up in the sort of problems he is ends up being affected by them.”

Ancelotti talks about how to stop Messi

As the El Clasico draws closer Real Madrid’s former manager Carlo Ancelotti had a few words of wisdom from his experience of facing Messi. The manager had a very interesting opinion on how a team should prepare to face the forward.

Speaking to Goal.com he said “To prepare a game for Messi is impossible, Messi is a fantastic talent and if you are to prepare for a game against Messi, well, you have to avoid speaking about Messi, about the skill and the ability of Messi”
