If rumors are anything to go by then we might be able to see Thiago Alcantara in a Manchester United jersey soon enough.

The Barcelona midfielder has been linked with a move to Manchester United and reports suggest that the United are trying to iron out a £15 million deal for the highly-rated playmaker.

Alcantara was instrumental in helping the Spanish U-21 team win the European Championship, by scoring a hat-trick in their 4-2 final against Italy.

Alcantara has often stated that how frustrated he has been with his lack of first-team chances at the Camp Nou and has even been linked with the likes of Bayern Munich and Manchester City, but United are at the head of the pack.

Alcantara is slated to be one David Moyes prime transfer targets this summer and United goalie David de Gea has been has been trying his best to convince Alcantara to join him at Old Trafford.

United legend Ryan Giggs, has admitted that he, for one, is particularly looking forward to having the player in the team as Alcantara is a ‘huge talent’.

In an interview with Marca, Giggs added: “I’ve seen him in several games. He’s a good player. But there’s always a lot of speculation with United and good players. We’ll see if it happens in the end, but he’s a big talent.”
