Jesus Navas linked to Arsenal

The much sought out Spanish International and Sevilla star Jesus Navas has been linked with Arsenal who reportedly want to bring him to the Emirates Stadium.

The 26-year-old Sevilla star has been with Sevilla for a span of 10 years. Making his debut in 2003, Jesus Navas has collected a lot of fans and has been a key to Sevilla’s victories.

But things have lately gone awry for Sevilla. They are trying to cash in this youngster to Arsenal due to their financial problems and talkSPORT claims that this news can spark an interest in Arsene Wenger.

Navas is valued in the region of £20 million and Los Rojiblancos may have to negotiate the fees with Jesus Navas, according to Radio Sevilla. This means that Arsenal could invest a cut-price deal on Navas.

“I’m happy at Sevilla but if an offer arrives, we’ll see. You always want to improve,” Navas is quoted as saying by talkSPORT.

The youngster had a disappointing start this season, playing 7 matches with no goals and no assists and 14 shots. His team too is in the 7th place in La Liga and has won only 3 of its 7 games, lost 2 and drew 2.

There are many winger options at Arsenal like Theo Walcott, Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain and Gervinho but Navas offers extra agility and power to the midfield. He might perfectly fit in Arsenal because over the last 5 years, he has averaged almost 3000 minutes in La Liga per season. In the 2010 season, he has averaged with 9.25 assists.

But to Arsenal’s bad luck, Tottenham is also on the run for this 26 year old. ArseBlog reports that Arsenal might try negotiating with Navas by investing a €15m euro initial offer. He is the most capped player currently in Sevilla and has been a great player.

If he goes to Arsenal, he might have a good time and this time, no salary problems!
