La Liga 2016-17: Karim Benzema hits back at 'haters' with Instagram post

Benzema has returned to top form this season to keep haters quiet

Karim Benzema took to Instagram to hit back at the 'haters' who have tried to discourage him after being left out of the France squad at Euro 2016. Benzema was embroiled in a sex-tape scandal involving compatriot Mathieu Valbuena and was heavily criticised. He is silencing his critics with a great run of form for Real Madrid; most recently scoring what should have been the winner in a 2-2 draw at Las Palmas.

Benzema has been using an electro-stimulation suit to speed up his recovery as he looks to stay completely fit through Madrid's gruelling run of fixtures to come. He had been sidelined with a groin problem during the start of the season and returned to the line-up only on September 10. Since then he has featured in six games for Madrid and looks to have become the first choice striker ahead of Alvaro Morata with some great performances for the Los Blancos.

His 'haters' have been a source of motivation for the Frenchman who have been detracting the striker since the scandal began months before the Euros. His performances have said enough to silence those who have been demoralizing him. The £17,000 electro-stimulation suit is said to reduce body fat and help improve speed. Benzema claims that he is 'stronger than ever' after working out in the suit. His performances reflect the amount of work he's putting in in the gym and on the training pitch.

It is surprising to note that Sergio Ramos is Real Madrid's top scorer with three goals, after which Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale follow with two goals each. Benzema though scored a couple of goals this season, but he has just come back to starting games and will look to replicate last season where he scored 28 goals in all competitions for Real Madrid.

30/30 for the Real Madrid star

Another fact to silence the haters is that the Real Madrid ace has now faced 30 different teams in the Primera División since joining the Los Blancos - and has scored against all 30. Karim Benzema's goal against Las Palmas on Saturday maintains the unique record that he has scored against every single La Liga side he has faced so far. This record shows his experience and his ability to adapt to different teams and situation.

With his work rate and dedication, Benzema has come back from injury to claim his spot in the famous 'BBC' replacing Spanish striker Alvaro Morata in the no.9 role. He is a striker who plays as a focal point in attack and brings on the likes of Ronaldo and Bale around him to move up front. His understanding with Ronaldo and Bale makes him suited to keep the striking role at Madrid .

Playing at one of the world's biggest clubs, his medals speak for himself and who knows, scandals aside, if he had played up front for France against Portugal, maybe they could have won the Euros?
