Lionel Messi failed to spot an eager young fan before the game

Argentina captain Lionel Messi broke the heart of a young fan after ignoring a hand-shake.

As the Argentine players lined-up in the tunnel before the match against Bosnia and Herzegovina, a cute little child came up eagerly for a hand shake with his hero Messi. But the Argentine star did not see the child’s gesture and directly went on to shake hands with the match referee.

In this clip we can see the innocent child’s face after his hero failed to see him stretch out his hand.

However, a longer video later surfaced showing that Messi couldn’t see the mascot and was instead looking at the referee.

He came back to shake hands with the mascots but by that time the poor kid had moved back. That could scar him for life. Messi did come back to shake hands with the kids, but unluckily the kid had already moved away and he shook hands with the other kids.
