Liverpool have confirmed their midfielder Allan Rodrigues de Souza has left Anfield on a temporary basis as he has joined Hertha Berlin on a season-long loan on August 5, Friday.

The 19-year-old moved to Merseyside from Brazilian outfit Internacional in the summer of 2015. However, he was not included in the first team squad by the Reds' former manager, Brendan Rodgers, as he did not have a work permit.

Allan left the Merseyside club and had two loan spells last season. He was at Seinäjoen Jalkapallokerho on a short term deal, which was in the first half of the season. In the second half of the previous campaign, the Brazilian played at Belgian club Sint-Truiden.

A statement on Liverpool's official website read, "Allan Rodrigues de Souza has today joined Hertha Berlin on a season-long loan deal, Liverpool can confirm."

"The 19-year-old Brazilian midfielder moved to the Reds from Internacional in September 2015 and has previously enjoyed loan spells with SJK in Finland and Belgian club Sint-Truidense. Allan will now continue his development in the Bundesliga for the 2016-17 campaign."

Allan has played previously with the German club as he was on trial with Hertha Berlin. He even featured during the friendly fixture against Eintracht Braunschweig. He will now be continuing his development in Berlin and the club's chief executive officer Michael Preetz was delighted to add the South American midfielder to his club's squad.

"We are pleased that we have gained a talented young player for us," Preetz told Hertha Berlin's official website.

Meanwhile, Allan is delighted after Liverpool allowed him to join the Bundesliga outfit, where he will be hoping to shine and impress the Reds manager Jurgen Klopp. He said, "I have immediately felt comfortable in the team and in the team. I therefore look forward to playing for Hertha BSC."

Hertha Berlin's coach Pál Dárdai is also looking forward to train the Brazillian midfielder. Dardai added, "Allan has good game intelligence and overview. For his age he is very robust and snappy, and he has a good shot."
