Lucas must stay smart around arrogant Ibrahimovic: Edmilson

Retired Brazilian defender and legend Edmilson has adviced new Paris Saint Germain signing Lucas Moura to stay smart around the ‘arrogant’ Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

PSG’s 45 million fee for the 20-year old has left many football fans and pundits speechless. Lucas arrived in Doha and joined the big spending PSG for their training at the Aspire Park.

“Lucas needs to stay smart around this arrogant superstar,” Edmilson posted on his Twitter account.

But while Ibra has impressed the most in his debut season with PSG, Edmilson has reservations over the ex-Milan star. The 36-year old’s contempt for the PSG striker dates back to 2009, around the transfer that took Zlatan to Barcelona in a swap deal for Eto’o’s move to Inter Milan.

“I do not know if something happened between Eto’o and the board, but there is no way to compare the two players,” Edmilson said at that time.

“You do not swap Eto’o for Ibrahimovic,” said the defender, a team-mate of Eto’o during Rijkaard’s time as Barcelona coach.
