Suarez will now go down in history as one of the best players to put on a Liverpool shirt EVER.

In spite of his incredible feats Suarez has always been controversies child. The 26-year-old was accused for racially abusing Manchester United defender Patrice Evra and was subsequently banned for 8 games in 2011. In 2012 he again kicked up a storm when he declined to shake Evra’s hand.

The striker was banned once again when he showed the finger to Fulham fans and was widely panned by the media for his unprofessional behavior. The worst was yet to come for Suarez and it came on 21st April 2013 when he bit Chelsea defender Branslav Ivanovic. The FA came down heavily on the striker and banned him for ten games along with a fine for the incident.

At the end of last season stories of Suarez wanting to leave Liverpool dominated the headlines and Arsenal even bid £40,000,001 for the striker but the bid was rejected by Liverpool. The player was then reprimanded by Brendan Rodgers who stated that he had shown disrespect to the club. The issue was eventually settled, and Suarez returned to Melwood to train with the squad.

All that is in the past now and Suarez looks better than ever. Liverpool are sure to qualify for the Champions League if they keep up their performance and the forward will see his dream of playing Champions League football again come true.

Suarez has certainly come back a better person and is winning the hearts of the Liverpool faithful again. The Merseyside club have had a change of fortunes this year, and Suarez will want a part of the action. The player has scored 13 goals so far this season and will surely reach 20 goals soon at this rate.

The striker looks set to light up Brazil in the World Cup next year and is the top scorer from South America with 11 goals. Uruguay performed exceptionally well in South Africa in 2010 and are certain to replicate their performance with Suarez at the helm. Suarez has certainly created a niche for himself in World football and will continue to break records as he has plenty of surprises up his sleeve.
