Manchester United transfer news: Rojo wanted by PSG, Mourinho wants Pogba-Kroos swap deal, and more - 19th February 2018

Trouble in paradise?

Manchester United have continued to dominate the transfer headlines despite signing Alexis Sanchez in January as Jose Mourinho continues to scout for players ahead of another potential transfer spree in the summer. Added to that, is the fact that Mourinho's recent alleged bust-up with Paul Pogba had flared up new transfer stories earlier in the week.

Further, Mourinho is not happy with the way Manchester United have handled their players' contracts, allowing the players to enter their final 12 months without offering them a concrete extension on the table. On that note, we take a look at the top two Manchester United transfer rumours from February 19th, 2018:

Jose Mourinho wants Paul Pogba gone

All is r
All is reportedly not well between Mourinho and Pogba

Jose Mourinho is not preparing to surrender to Paul Pogba's demands of switching to a 4-3-3 system and use him from the left-hand side even if it means losing Pogba in the summer, reports Don Balon.

Mourinho is reportedly keen on bringing Toni Kroos to Old Trafford to sort his midfield puzzle following a dismal showing from his central midfielders in recent weeks.

Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba have struggled to forge a formidable partnership and Mourinho wants Kroos to provide solidity to Manchester United's midfield even if it means losing Pogba in exchange.

The report claims that Mourinho is open to the idea of swapping Pogba for Kroos in the summer and has invited Real Madrid to submit their offer.

Despite squashing rumours of any problems between himself and Pogba, Mourinho is reportedly refusing to agree to Pogba's demands and wants a quick solution to his midfield crisis.

PSG targetting Marcos Rojo

Rojo has 12 months left on his current Manchester United contract

Ligue 1 giants PSG are planning a £30 million transfer move for Manchester United central defender Marcos Rojo, according to reports from The Sun.

Rojo is about to enter the final 12 months of his contract and manager Jose Mourinho is fuming at the delay in Rojo's contract extension.

The report claims that PSG are extremely intent on signing Rojo in the summer and are prepared to offer £30 million for the Argentine defender who can play at central defence as well as a left-back.

Rojo is currently sidelined with an injury which has seen United's defence struggle as Chris Smalling and Phil Jones lack composure and the commanding presence inside their penalty box which is Rojo's forte.

If the Red Devils continue to let Rojo's contract run down they could be facing a similar situation to Marouane Fellaini, who has agreed on a 5-year contract with Turkish giants Galatasaray and will leave Old Trafford in the summer, according to Metro.
