In the bizarre turn of events, Newcastle United forward Nile Ranger was caught slapping a woman on CCTV who was trying to calm the footballer down.
According to Mirror, Ranger was frustrated after he was not able to get inside his flat at Gordon Gardens at around 4 in the morning.
In the official statement released by police, it was stated that damage caused by the 23-year old striker was in the region of £2000 of a lift door, a wall and a glass panel which was smashed.
