Bollywood actor Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor called out Manchester City following their Champions League quarter-final exit against Real Madrid.

The Cityzens played out a 3-3 draw at the Santiago Bernabeu in the first leg and were knocked out on penalties (4-3) after a 1-1 draw at the Etihad. Despite dominating the proceedings and racking up 33 attempts at home, the Cityzens failed to convert their chances.

After the Premier League side's exit from Europe's highest club competition, Kapoor, who is a Manchester United fan, wrote on his X account (formerly Twitter):

"Manchester City.. like a ponzi scam.. one day the bubble will burst and all the lies will be revealed.. pep will leave and they will fade.. they don't have many real fans they don't have a real history.. just hope when they fade were in a good place to dominate for a few years."

However, the Cityzens aren't showing signs of fading away anytime soon. They won the Champions League, Premier League and FA Cup last season. This time out, they could still do the double.

Currently, Pep Guardiola's men are on top of the league standings, two points clear of second-placed Arsenal with six games remaining. They're also gearing up to face Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final on Saturday (April 20).

Manchester City defender Kyle Walker labelled his side's Champions League exit in the quarter-final against Real Madrid 'cruel'. Many would claim that the Cityzens did enough in their second-leg tie to come out victors.

Pep Guardiola and Co. dominated the proceedings, keeping 68% possession while allowing the visiting team just eight attempts in 120 minutes of action. After losing this match on penalties, Walker said (via The Guardian):

"It's very difficult- it's probably the cruelest way to lose a game. You have to take it on the chin and move on. It hurts and we've got to feel the pain. Hopefully that gives us motivation to go on and do something special at Wembley (against Chelsea)."

Walker is an integral part of Manchester City's squad, having made 39 appearances across competitions this season and bagging three assists. Expect him to feature for the Cityzens when they take to the pitch for their FA Cup semi-final against the Blues on Saturday.
