Arne Slot confirms he will replace Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool manager

Arne Slot has confirmed he will be succeeding Jurgen Klopp as the next manager of Liverpool. The Dutch coach is leaving Feyenoord to join the Reds this summer.

Slot signed his contract with Liverpool on Friday and announced his new venture at Anfield, per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Slot has been heavily linked with his upcoming move to Anfield for some time now. Last month, Jurgen Klopp spoke about the Dutchman (via Barrons.com).

"I like the way his team plays football," Klopp said. "If he is the one, I like that he wants it. It's the best job in the world, best club in the world."

Arne Slot took charge of Feyenoord in 2021 and has led the squad to win the 2022–23 Eredivisie and the 2023–24 KNVB Cup. He also won the Rinus Michels Award twice during his tenure (2021–22 and 2022–23).
