Popular YouTuber and hardcore Cristiano Ronaldo fan IShowSpeed claimed that the Portuguese should win the Ballon d'Or following his AFC Champions League goal yesterday (October 24).

Ronaldo netted Al-Nassr's third (61') and fourth (81') goals in the 4-3 AFC Champions League win against Qatari club Al-Duhail. Ronaldo's first of the two was a stunning left-footed strike from the outside the box which flew into the top corner.

This goal from the 38-year-old striker drew an incredible reaction from IShowSpeed that has gone viral on social media. Watching the former Manchester United star's stunning strike, he said on his YouTube channel:

"Oh my god! left footed. He's the GOAT. If he doesn't win the Ballon d'Or this year, I'm sorry. If he doesn’t win the Ballon d’Or this year, I’m done."

The five-time winner of the individual honor, Ronaldo failed to make this year's Ballon d'Or shortlist for the first time since 2003. It is widely believed that Manchester City forward Erling Haaland or Ronaldo's Argentine rival Lionel Messi are the most likely to win the award.

Messi, a seven-time winner could add an eight after leading Argentina to World Cup success in Qatar last year. He finished the tournament with seven goals and three assists in seven appearances.

Meanwhile, Haaland recorded an incredible first season with the Cityzens. He managed to bag 52 goals across all competitions while winning the treble with his club.

Premier League striker Michail Antonio claims that it would be a scandal if Lionel Messi wins the Ballon d'Or this year over Manchester City number nine Erling Haaland.

The West Ham forward was joined by Newcastle star Callum Wilson as both players deliberated upon this year's winner. Agreeing with Wilson's choice, which suggested that the Norway international must take home the award, Antonio added on the Footballers' Footballer Podcast (via Mirror):

"I agree with Callum. I understand Messi winning the World Cup is massive, but you can't look past a treble-winning team and what Haaland bought to that, breaking records. He deserves that Ballon d'Or. If he doesn't get it then it's a scandal."

Messi winning the award would take him three clear of Cristiano Ronaldo, which would make it highly improbable for the Portuguese to surpass or even match the ex-Barcelona man.
