Japanese technology major Panasonic Corporation has renewed its global advertising contract with Brazilian football sensation Neymar Jr.
The contract has been extended for another four years. The Brazilian international will appear in the company’s new advertisements for its B2B solutions that will feature in 193 countries starting in Japan from July 22, 2013.
Panasonic, which is aiming to reach out to the youth, was the first Japanese company to sign a contract with Neymar Jr. in 2010, in an effort to
to tap into the vast worldwide fan following of the Brazilian, mostly among the youth.
The new contract will project Neymar Jr. as the global ambassador for Panasonic’s B2c and B2B business promotional activities for the 2016 Olympics to be held in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.
