Real Madrid agree terms for Manchester United midfield target Toni Kroos

Real Madrid are set to beat Manchester United and are edging towards sealing a deal for Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos.

The German international’s contract at the Allianz Arena runs down at the end of the next season and earlier this year, he rejected a chance to sign a new deal as he was not happy with the personal terms.

According to the Spanish newspaper Marca, the Champions League winners will land the talented midfielder and have already agreed terms for a potential switch to Real. Kroos will be the La Liga giants’ first signing of the summer transfer window.

Real are ready to offer Kroos a wage which would see him earn €5m after the tax deduction. The Spanish capital club are looking to sign him on a five-year deal from Bayern. The report claims the talks between Carlo Ancelotti’s side and the Bavarian club are at an advanced stage.

It is believed that Real have agreed to a transfer of Kroos to the Bernabéu, which would see the 10-time European winners cough up €25-30m for the midfielder. The midfielder saw his club teammates Philip Lahm and Thomas Muller sign new deals to extend their Bayern stay.

However, Kroos admitted that his situation has not changed and hinted he could leave his current employers in the summer transfer window.

“There's nothing new to report. With respect to the time before the World Cup, nothing at all has changed,” Kroos told the reporters.

“If anything does happen, then you will all find out. Congratulations to Philipp and Thomas for their decisions and extensions.”

Earlier there were reports about a swap deal between Bayern Munich and Barcelona involving Kroos and Alexis Sanchez , however, Kroos has rejected an opportunity to play for either of the sides and is now closing in agreeing a deal with Real.
