Real Madrid President Florentino Perez taunts Mesut Ozil again

Cristiano Ronaldo Signs Contract Renewal For Real Madrid

Florentino Perez addressing the media

Florentino Perez continued his barrage of words against former Real Madrid midfielder Mesut Ozil. He had earlier accused Ozil of being unprofessional during his stint in at the Bernabeu.

The 24-year-old German, Mesut Ozil signed for Arsenal in the dying moments of the summer transfer window for a fee of £42.4 million which places the player under the Gunners for five years. He has not managed to reply to Perez’s snipes.

Perez said to the club members on Thursday, “The player asked to leave and nobody here should be upset about it. He couldn’t handle the pressure at Madrid.”

He also spoke about various other topics which included star goalkeeper Iker Casillas, Barcelona defender Gerard Pique, former Madrid coach Jose Mourinho and latest signing Gareth Bale. But he saved the harshest comment for Mesut Ozil.

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti also shared the same feeling as he said: “I’ve heard a lot of people talk about the departure of Ozil and now it’s my turn to talk.

“Nobody leaves Madrid if they don’t want to leave.

“Ozil thought he had a lot of competition for places and asked to leave. It doesn’t happen to everyone.

“The coaching staff’s decision was to let Ozil leave.”
