Ridiculous rumour of the day: Spurs to open talks with German whizkid?

The transfer window is labelled ‘silly season’ by most people as it brings out the the worst in the media and teenagers on Twitter trying to get retweets and followers with controversial ‘in the know’ tweets on fake accounts.

We all see funny rumours on a daily basis and today’s Ridiculous Rumour of the Day is brought to you by @AgentVince_, who claims that Julian Draxler is headed to Tottenham Hotspur within a matter of hours.

As we all know, Draxler is a huge fan of Tim Sherwood and would love to play with the likes of Danny Rose and Emmanuel Adebayor.

Agent Vince calls himself a ‘Very well respected UEFA qualified Football Agent’ who has a ’100% transfer success rate.’ I’m not quite sure he’s called this one right, to be honest.

Draxler is currently recovering from a ruptured tendon in his left thigh back in Gelsenkirchen so you can bet your house that he won’t be signing for Spurs ‘within the next 24 hours’.

He was spotted in Munich last week, getting an examination from Bayern Munich’s doctor, Dr Hans-Wilhelm Müller-Wohlfahrt, sparking rumours about his future and whether or not Bayern had signed another top class attacking talent.

He was, however, just being examined by one of Germany’s top doctors and remains with Schalke, recovering from injury.
