Rumour: Manchester City consider rivalling Manchester United for Toni Kroos in the summer

According to the Dail Mail, Manchester City are considering the possibility of entering the race for coveted Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos in the summer.

This could prove to be a massive blow for bitter rivals Manchester United, who were touted to be front runners in the pursuit of the talented playmaker.

The out of favour German had been subject of much speculation this winter, however, he will remain at the Allianz Arena, atleast until the summer.

The blue half of Manchester, who are gunning for the quadruple this season, could prove to be a more attractive destination for the 24-year old, if the Red Devils, who are 7 points off a top four spot, fail to qualify for the Champions League.
