According to the Daily Mirror, English champions Manchester United are closing in on a £3 million deal for Dundee United wonderkid Ryan Gauld.
Gauld, who has been dubbed as the ‘Mini Messi’, is highly regarded by the backroom staff at Old Trafford and has been producing impressive performances for Dundee, which won him the attention of Liverpool, Newcastle, Everton and Real Madrid.
The expected bid will be around £3 million plus future initiatives and a pledge to play three pre-season friendlies against Dundee starting in July. But the Scottish outfit have placed a price tag of £6 million for the 17-year-old, which is well above United’s valuation.
