Thibaut Courtois is reportedly desperate to leave current club Chelsea and join Spanish giants Barcelona, according to El Mundo Deportivo.

The Belgian shot-stopper is currently on-loan at Atletico Madrid and has been there for the last three seasons. His side are currently leading the race for the La Liga title with just one game left and they also have a Champions League final to contest against rivals Real Madrid.

Diego Simeone’s side have made it public that they want to sign Courtois on a permanent basis, but Chelsea are reportedly unwilling to depart with the Belgian international, despite Petr Cech occupying the number one spot at Stamford Bridge.

However, Courtois is reportedly desperate to leave the Blues, who just agreed a fee for Diego Costa to come to London, but Courtois does not want to join Atletico Madrid, despite spending the last three years there.

Courtois is in-fact holding out for a move to Barcelona and with Victor Valdes currently out with a serious injury, and Pinto deemed surplus to requirements, the Catalan giants are keeping tabs on the youngster’s future.

Courtois has a “dream” to sign for Barcelona, is “tired” of being loaned out all the time and his representatives are in touch with the Catalan side “on a daily basis”, according to the Spanish newspaper. Courtois will reject a new contract offer from Chelsea if he is offered it by Mourinho’s men.
