25-year-old Stuttgart defender, Serdar Tasci has revealed that he is aware of Barcelona‘s interest, adding that he would welcome a move to the Catalan giants.

The German international has two years remaining on his current contract at Stuttgart and told Bild:

“I have heard that I am on Barca’s list. If there was an offer then we would have to meet and talk about it.

“However, I am completely focused on preparing for the season ahead with Stuttgart.”

Barcelona are reportedly in the market to sign a defender to replace Puyol who spent much of the last season on the bench with a knee injury. Meanwhile, Jordi Alba is expected to undergo a medical today to finalize his move to Barcelona. An announcement on Barcelona’s website read:

“On Wednesday morning, he will come to the club’s offices to have the traditional photo session in front of the Barcelona badge.”

“On Thursday, he will officially become a new Barca player for the next five seasons. On the same day, Jordi Alba will take his medical, sign his new contract, have the customary photo session at the Nou Camp and offer his first press conference as an Azulgrana player.”

Alba, who will sign a five year contract with the club thanked his previous club Valencia for their support.

“Valencia and Barcelona have reached an agreement, everything went well. I thank the people from (home town) L’Hospitalet, my family and my friends.”
