Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has reportedly said that he wants to leave the Spanish club with Manchester United said to be interested in signing the defender. Reports suggest that Ramos met Jose Angel Sanchez who is the chief executive of Real Madrid at the club’s training ground on Wednesday morning.

During the meet, it is believed that he confirmed his desire to leave the club and was told that Madrid would be ready to listen to offers for him. No public statements have emerged about the stance of either Ramos or the club, but it is believed that in private, their intentions are very clear. Neither party were ready to relent on their stance during the Wednesday morning meeting.

Real Madrid on their part have not made any efforts to reconcile with the player or offer a new deal to him. The former Sevilla defender’s current contract will expire in 2017. Ramos is the vice-captain of the Madrid outfit, but it looks like he is not prepared to enter into any new contract talks at the moment.

Madrid are reportedly willing to sell the defender who has played over 400 games for the Los Blancos if the right offer comes their way.

A quick resolution to the situation is not expected and there is a lot of uncertainty about the situation. Madrid are saying that they are yet to receive any offers for the defender despite Manchester United saying that they are interested in the player.
