Stats: Record of teams who score first in the EPL

Arsenal have the best record in the league when they score the first goal of a match. They have won 17 of the 19 games, while losing only one. Liverpool are the next most prolific, winning 16 of the 20 games. Manchester City and Chelsea make up the top four.

Manchester United, true to their current form, languish in 7th, having scored first only 12 of the 27 games played so far. However, the Red Devils have never lost when they score first in a match. The Spurs and Swansea are the only other two who boast of an unbeaten record when taking the lead in game.
