Welcome to Sportskeeda's daily transfer roundup.

The ongoing winter transfer window is all set to slam shut later tonight at 11 pm GMT. While a number of notable deals have been completed in this mid-season window, several others are expected to be completed over the next few hours.

In the last 24 hours, plenty of fresh transfer news and speculation have emerged, involving high-profile clubs and players. Today's top stories feature giant clubs like Real Madrid, Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Paris Saint-Germain, among others. They also feature a number of prolific players who have been linked with potential moves away from their current clubs.

As the deadline day scramble continues, here is a look at the top transfer rumours, stories and updates for the day:

Tottenham Hotspur surprised the world by not making any signings to reinforce their side ahead of the start of the current season. They currently sit third on the Premier League table but have temporarily lost the likes of Harry Kane and Dele Alli to injuries.

Contrary to most people's opinion that Spurs would sign reinforcements in the current transfer window, the club's manager, Mauricio Pochettino, has now dismissed any and all possibilities of recruiting new players.

As per reports from Goal.com, when asked about potential new signings, Pochettino said:

"I am going to talk now with my chief scout Steve Hitchen, I am going to ask for some news. I expect that maybe some player is going to leave but I do not expect that we are going to add to the squad."
"I am going to talk because I want some news, but not because I am expecting to sign a player."

Arsenal target four players on deadline day

As the race for a spot in the top-four intensifies, all contending clubs will look to bolster their sides ahead of what is expected to be an intense second half of the season. Arsenal, who have been financially handicapped, will also look to lure a few players on loan deals before the window closes.

According to reports from Sky Sports, while the Gunners have announced the signing of Barcelona's Denis Suarez, they also find themselves linked to as many as four other players on deadline day.

The north London-based club are reportedly pursuing Inter Milan's Ivan Perišić, Dalian Yifang's Yannick Carrasco, AS Monaco's Youri Tielemans, and Everton's Idrissa Gueye.

While deals for all four players are unlikely to be completed, Arsenal are expected to make at least a couple of signings over the next few hours.

Manchester United's Marouane Fellaini is currently in his sixth season at the club, but could be on his way out by the end of tonight, as per reports from Sky Sports. The 31-year-old is reportedly set to seal a move to Chinese Super League side, Shandong Luneng.

The Belgian midfielder has allegedly passed his medical already, as the two clubs have reportedly reached an agreement in principle. Fellaini is presently said to be on his way to China in order to agree on personal terms before officially completing a transfer to China.

As per reports from The Sun, Fellaini will reportedly earn a staggering salary of £365,000-a-week, which amounts to about £9.5 million per year after taxes.

Paris Saint-Germain launch a late bid for Chelsea's Willian

Neymar's ten-week injury lay-off could prove to be extremely detrimental to PSG's chances in the UEFA Champions League. As per reports from The Daily Express, PSG have recognised this and are reportedly desperately looking to recruit a replacement for the mercurial Brazilian superstar.

According to the report, PSG have launched a very late bid to sign Chelsea's Willian, who they allegedly view as a suitable temporary replacement for Neymar. The report claims that a last-minute deal could be agreed upon before tonight's deadline, but will cost PSG a whopping fee.

Notably, Chelsea had slapped a £60 million price tag on Willian earlier in the summer, and will understandably demand more than that to let him leave halfway through the season.

Real Madrid to make £100m bid for Manchester United's Marcus Rashford

Ever since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, Real Madrid have been linked with a plethora of superstars as they continue to look for a suitable replacement. Among the high-profile players that they have been linked with, is Manchester United's Marcus Rashford.

Now, according to reports from The Sun, despite Manchester United's reluctance to sell the 21-year-old, Real Madrid are reportedly refusing to end their pursuit for the English forward.

The report claims that Madrid had previously gotten in touch with Rashford's camp in November, and believe that they can still land him, considering that his current contract at Manchester United expires in June 2020.

While the likes of Anthony Martial have signed new contracts, Rashford still hasn't and is believed to be biding his time before committing his long-term future to the Red Devils. As a result, Madrid will reportedly attempt to snatch Rashford by submitting an offer of £100 million for him in the summer, before he can sign a contract extension.
