Team News

Valencia

  • Miroslav Djukic can again call upon Joao Pereira after his return to full fitness.
  • The club has recently imposed a code of silence amongst its players in respect to talking to the media in light of the club’s troubles on the field that are starting to cause tension off the field.

Osasuna

  • Javi Garcia will be glad to have first-choice striker Oriol Riera available after he served his one-match ban.
  • Riera’s return to the team will see Alvaro Cejudo start from the bench.
  • Jordan Loties, now well and truly recovered from his injury, should return to the starting XI.

Match Facts

  • There have been over 2.5 goals scored in 5 of Valencia’s last 6 games in La Liga.
  • Valencia have conceded at least 2 goals in 5 of their last 6 matches in La Liga.

Prediction

  • It has been a rather forgettable campaign for Los Che to date. Yet, despite poor results the board have kept faith in coach Miroslav Djukic who insists: “I continue to be the authority in the dressing room,” amid whispers that he does not have the full backing of the squad.
  • Though Djukic’s side fell to an unexpected defeat away to Elche last weekend, he is to keep faith with much the same side, with Brazilian Jonas to once again lead the attack.
  • Osasuna have been just as inconsistent as their hosts heading into Sunday’s game. However, with expectations much lower for the Pamplonan outfit, the team enter this game in a much better mood than Valencia who are in a state of crisis. This could prove telling come full time.

Valencia 1 - 1 Osasuna
