Cristiano Ronaldo is known to capture headlines for scoring goals, winning awards, and on the rare ocassion for being unfollowed on Twitter by a former girlfriend. A different side of the Portuguese superstar was on display recently however, as seen in filmed footage from Madrid’s Plaza de Callao.

A Spanish toddler received the shock of his lifetime when a man in baggy clothes approached him in the populated square, and proceeded to take off his wig and fake moustache to reveal only the most decorated footballer in Madrid’s history.

As the boy slowly recovered from the stunning experience he had been part of without any prior notice, the Ballon d’Or winner and idol to one half of the footballing world, leaned over and gave his fan a hug and an autographed ball.
