Manchester City vs Norwich City

Last year’s Premier League champions would still be befuddled after their shock defeat in the FA Cup final against Wigan Athletic, which was followed by the sacking of their manager Roberto Mancini. However, the Citizens comfortably beat Reading 2-0 on Tuesday night and are expected to secure an easy victory at the Etihad on Sunday. Manchester City have a nearly fully-fit squad, with Kolo Toure and Scott Sinclair being the only ones who are likely to miss the final day of the season. Pablo Zabaleta is back from suspension after he was red-carded in the FA Cup final for a reckless tackle on Callum McManaman and would possibly be replacing Micah Richards in the starting XI. On the other hand, Norwich City, who have a fully match-fit squad too, would be relieved to have survived the battle for the place in the premier league and they would be high on confidence after the 4-0 drubbing of West Bromwich Albion last weekend. The Canaries boss is expected to start with the same starting XI as in their last game as all of those players are fully match-fit.

Wigan Athletic vs Aston Villa

Two of the worst performers of this season of the premier league take on each other in what will be the last game for the hosts in the premier league as they confirmed their relegation when they lost against Arsenal in the midweek. Aston Villa, who have had a pretty rough season so far, would be looking to end the season on a high. However, Aston Villa’s top scorer Christian Benteke will be missing out on the last game of the season as he was sent off in the previous game against Chelsea. Clark missed out the action in the last week and he is said to miss the Sunday’s game too while Lowton and El Ahmadi might make a return. Ben Watson could return to the midfield for Wigan to allow Gomez to take McManaman’s place as the 22-year old is a doubt for the game after an ankle injury.

Chelsea vs Everton

David Moyes and Rafael Benitez face off on Sunday in their last fixture of the season, as both the managers bid farewell to their respective clubs and both of them would be looking to end their tenure on a high note. Chelsea need to win at the Stamford Bridge in order to confirm their third position while Everton would be finishing in the sixth place regardless of the result of Sunday’s fixture. However, a win at Stamford Bridge would take Everton to 66 points which would be their best ever points tally in the Premier League. Chelsea will be coming in to the game on a high as they beat Benfica to win the UEFA Europa league on Wednesday. Demba Ba is once again available for Benitez’s final game at Chelsea and he is expected to replace Fernando Torres in the starting XI. Eden Hazard and Oriol Romeu are both sidelined with injury, while John Obi Mikel is a doubt and Ramires is suspended. John Terry also remains a doubt as he failed a fitness test ahead of Chelsea’s 2-1 Europa League final victory. Everton have been pretty consistent in their past few games as they just suffered one defeat in 10 league games. Following Chelsea’s 2-0 win over West Ham United last weekend, Moyes is expected to persist with the same starting XI.

West Bromwich Albion vs Manchester United

Sir Alex Ferguson will be ending his 39 years in management that began at East Stirling in 1974 when Manchester United play the Baggies at the Hawthorns. The players will be desperate to see their manager sign off with a victory, with Paul Scholes set to make his 499th and final appearance for the club. Romelu Lukaku might be playing his last game at West Brom despite the Belgian expressing his desire to extend his stay at the club. Goran Popov and Chris Brunt returned to action last week, but they might be replaced after a 4-0 thrashing by Norwich City. Billy Jones is expected to be included in the squad while the rest of the squad is expected to be the same. On the other hand, Anders Lindegaard is expected to start ahead of David De Gea, while Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand are expected to be on the bench for Sunday’s fixture. Wayne Rooney is unlikely to feature against West Brom after the Red Devils’ boss confirmed the 27-year old to have submitted a transfer request.

Newcastle United Vs Arsenal

Arsene Wenger’s men will be visiting St James’ Park for the final game of their season in their bid to secure a spot for the UEFA Champions League next season. Arsenal need the whole three points in order to confirm their place in the top four of the Premier League. The Gunners have doubts over Mikel Arteta, as the Spaniard injured his calf in the recent midweek game against Wigan Athletic. Olivier Giroud is expected to make a return after completing his three-match suspension. However, Podolski might also be considered upfront as he scored a brace in the 4-1 win against Wigan Athletic on Tuesday.

Newcastle’s boss, on the other hand, has a lot of injury and suspension troubles ahead of his side’s final game of the season. With Tim Krul still injured, and Rob Elliot being sent off at Loftus Road last week, the Magpies will have to field the experienced Steve Harper. Mousa Sissoko has been ruled out for the rest of the season due to an ankle injury. However, Steven Taylor is expected to be back in the central defence to replace Mike Williamson.
