Brutal Bastion is presently one of the 'sweatiest' locations in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1. While it might be a well-fortified bastion on the island, it's not the only one in the game. Much like in the days of old, a network of Bastion Outposts surrounds this major POI.

There are a total of four Outposts in and around Brutal Bastion. Unfortunately, since these are Outposts, they aren't marked on either the minimap or the regular in-game map. With that being said, finding them may be slightly difficult. Fortunately, it's possible to spot them while you're in the air.

As mentioned earlier, there are a total of four Bastion Outposts on the island. They are generally located on naturally higher ground and can be identified by their medieval themes. Here's what they are called:

  • The Hall of Whispers
  • Solitary Shrine
  • The Stone Tower
  • Aegis Temple

Starting off with The Hall of Whispers, this landmark can be found at the edge of the snow/ice biome towards the center of the map. For better directional reference, it's located west of Slappy Shores and east of Anvil Square. Essentially, it's in the middle of these two major POIs.

Solitary Shrine, the Stone Tower, and Aegis Temple are located in an arc behind Brutal Bastion, towards the northern part of the island. Much like The Hall of Whispers, they are located in the snow/ice biome as well.

Apart from Aegis Temple, which is located southwest of Lonely Labs, the other two Bastion Outposts have no major POI next to them. That said, an easy way to find Solitary Shrine and the Stone Tower is to keep an eye out for two medieval structures that overlook a giant frozen lake.

How to visit three Bastion Outposts in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1

In case you might be wondering why it's important to know the locations of Bastion Outposts in-game, it has to do with a particular Cipher Quest. Players are being tasked to visit three Bastion Outposts during the course of gameplay. That said, here's how to speed up the quest and visit three Bastion Outposts in a single match.

Use the Launch Pad at the Hall of Whispers to redeploy (Image via Epic Games/Fortnite)

The first thing to do is to land at the Hall of Whispers. Basically, it's the largest of the Bastion Outposts and features plenty of loot for the early game. Once geared up, use the Launch Pad to redeploy and head towards Icy Islets. You must use one of the vehicles that's parked here and drive towards Solitary Shrine.

Since the ride is fairly short, there's no need for pit stops to refuel or look for loot. Once you're close enough to Solitary Shrine, the quest should be updated. From this landmark, turn right and head towards the Stone Tower to complete the quest. Although the drive is mostly uphill, it shouldn't be too difficult to reach the top.

Once you're close enough to the landmark, the quest will be completed and 10,000 experience points will be provided as a reward. Just keep in mind that since this quest is new, there's a strong possibility that enemy players will be in the area. If possible, try to avoid them and complete the task at hand, or engage them at your own discretion.

Note: The quest doesn't have to be completed in a single match. Players can complete it over the course of multiple matches if required.
