Players can battle with these characters in several game modes. The J-Adventure Story mode lets players battle in a variety of manga and anime worlds “to determine who is the strongest character.”

2 vs. 2 Team Battle mode allows team combat with a total of four players. Western regions will also have access to an exclusive Arcade mode that provides one-on-one matches. “With its cornucopia of anime and manga characters and franchises J-Stars Victory VS+ is a title that anime fans and gamers alike could only dream of Bandai Namco Games America bringing to the West.” Chris Gilbert, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Bandai Namco Games America, said in a prepared statement.

“Today, we’re making those dreams come true; this over-the-top crossover fighting game is poised to pit some of the most famous anime characters in battles never thought possible.”

The game was launched in Japan for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita way back on March 19, 2014 but didn’t make it to western regions. The original Jump Superstars titles were not released in the west due to cross-licensing issues , as for now they seemed to have formed a path to reach the desired goal and it seems certain that players will enjoy this creation of Bandai Namco.
