Minecraft is getting a big dose of holiday cheer with the release of the Festive Mash-Up Pack, which will hit Xbox 360 and Xbox One on December 10th. This DLC has been given exclusive content which is based on the holidays celebrated during the winter season. The festive mash-up is currently available for Xbox consoles solely although a announcement made ensures that it will be available “soon on other platforms.” The contents of the pack include: a holiday-themed texture pack, 36 brand-new skins, and new music by Minecraft composer C418.
A different take on things
This mash-up pack is a bit different from those in the past, which were all based around other games. These included Halo, Skyrim, and Mass Effect. Along with these Mojang and 4J Studios have released skin and texture packs, but the mash-ups always seemed reserved for larger releases like those above. Perhaps we’ll start seeing more varied releases for these mash-up packs in the future if this one does well.
More on the Minecraft front the Skyrim Mash-Up was announced for PC last month regarding which you can check here.
