Originally designated to be hosted in Dubai, the tournament has been relocated to the Middle East and is being organized in collaboration with the Emirates Golf Federation.

The tournament is officially scheduled to take place from October 25 to 28, 2023. This decision to host the championship in an odd-numbered year is in alignment with the International Golf Federation's objective of avoiding scheduling conflicts with the Summer Olympic Games in the same year. The venue for the 2023 Women's World Amateur Team Championship is the National Course at the Abu Dhabi Golf Club. This is the first time the championship is being held with just 36 teams on one golf course. This was done to make sure the championship is cost-effective and there is a competitive balance as well.

The players participating are huge names like Ingrid Lindblad, ranked No. 1 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking representing Sweden and is the defending champion as well. The other big names include Cayetana Fernandez Garcia-Poggio, Julia Lopez Ramirez from Spain, and Minsol Kim from South Korea.

Team USA is represented by Anna Davis (Auburn commit), Rachel Kuehn (Wake Forest), and Megan Schofill (Auburn) who is the U.S. Women's Amateur champion.

The winning team will receive the honors of the Espirito Santo Trophy for the ensuing two years with respective medals for each category. The 2023 Women's World Amateur Team Championship is all set to feature some of the most promising talents in amateur golf.
