The 2023 Cazoo Open de France wrapped up with the second round on Friday, September 22. Jordan Smith topped the leaderboard of the tournament and will enter the third round with a lead of three strokes.

The tournament has an even par cut and unfortunately, some of the big names failed to make it to the third round. Ryan Fox, who won the BMW PGA Championship last week, missed the cut at the Open de France.

#1 Ryan Fox

Fans had high hopes for Kiwi golfer Ryan Fox as he won the fourth DP World Tour tournament of his career last week at the 2023 BMW PGA Championship. However, the 36-year-old disappointed fans with his performance this week at the Open de France.

The damage was done in the first round when he scored above 70. However, his game improved on Friday and he made six birdies in the second round along with three bogeys to score three-under par.

Fox finished with a score of 1-over par 143, missing the cut by just one stroke.


#2 Aaron Rai

Aaron Rai played the first round at the Cazoo Open de France on Thursday, September 21. He scored 80 in the opening round and 78 in the second to settle for a total of 16 over par.

Rai could only make one birdie in the two rounds he played at the tournament. He carded five bogeys and one double bogey and added two bogeys and two double bogeys in the second round.


#3 Victor Perez

Perez played both rounds at the Open de France Championship above 70. He made two bogeys and one birdie in the first round of the tournament to settle for a score of one over par. He started the second round with a birdie on the third hole but made three double bogeys to settle for a score of 8-over par 79. He missed the cut by nine strokes.


#4 Robert MacIntyre

Robert MacIntyre was qualified to represent the European team at the Ryder Cup next week, but the Scottish golfer had difficulty with his game at the 2023 Cazoo Open de France.

He finished in the T45 position last week at the BMW PGA Championship but missed the cut this week. He played two rounds of 71-77 to settle for a score of six-over-par.


#5 Matthew Jordan

Matthew Jordan also missed the cut at the 2023 Cazoo Open de France. He played two rounds of 74-69 to settle for a score of one over par 143. He started his game in the opening round with a bogey on the first hole and then added two birdies on the second and third holes.

He made four birdies and seven bogeys in the first round and made four birdies and two bogeys in the second round. He finished with a score of one over par 143, missing the cut by one stroke.
