2024 PGA Championship Friday Round 2 tee times and pairing explored

The 2024 PGA Championship teed off the campaign at the Valhalla Golf Club on Thursday, May 16. Round 1 of the Major, which suffered a slightly delayed start due to fog, ended with Xander Schauffele in the lead. The 30-year-old shot a course-record 9-under 62 to take a three-shot lead over Sahith Theegala, Tony Finau and Mark Hubbard.

Round 2 of the PGA Championship will begin at 7:15 am ET on Friday. Rich Beem, Sebastian Soderberg, and Kazuma Kobori will take the first tee. The pairing of Josh Bevell, Aaron Rai, and Jordan Smith will follow the opening group at 7:26 am. Andrew Putnam, Jesse Mueller, and Charley Hoffman will be the third group to tee off.

Day 1 leader Schauffele will resume his campaign on Friday at 1:18 pm ET. Ludvig Aberg and Justin Thomas will join him on the first tee. His group will follow the pairing of Lucas Glover, Stephan Jaeger, and Russell Henley.

Notably, his group will be followed by Tiger Woods along with Adam Scott and Keegan Bradley.

T2 Hubbard will take his first tee of Day 2 at 9:21 am. He will join Brad Marek and Maverick McNealy. Meanwhile, Theegala and Finau will tee off together at 2:13 pm along with LIV Golf’s Tyrrell Hatton. PGA Championship defending champion Brooks Koepka will tee off at 2:02 pm with Max Homa and Jordan Spieth.

2024 PGA Championship favorite and Masters champion Scottie Scheffler will enjoy an early tee-off on Friday. The World No.1 golfer will take the first tee at 8:48 am with Wyndham Clark and Brian Harman. The trio of Kyle Mendoza, Andy Ogletree, and Erik van Rooyen will take the final tee of the day at 2:52 pm.

It is pertinent to note that the PGA Championship will have a traditional 36-hole cut. Only around half of the players on the 156-player field will be eligible to resume play on Saturday at the $20,000,000 million prize major championship.
