Jesper Svensson secures maiden DP World Tour title post an impressive playoff at Porsche Singapore Classic

Jesper Svensson clinched victory at the Porsche Singapore Classic 2024 by defeating Kiradech Aphibarnrat in a playoff. Following the 72-hole DP World Tour event, Aphibarnrat and Svensson tied for first place. They proceeded to a playoff, where Svensson emerged victorious.

Jesper Svensson began his outing at the Porsche Singapore Classic on Thursday, March 21. He opened with a round of 68, followed by a 72 in the second round. Svensson then carded a 67 in the third round before concluding in a remarkable 63 in the final round.

This triumph marks Svensson's maiden victory on the DP World Tour since turning professional in 2019. He has won three professional tournaments in his career, including one on the European, one on the Challenge, and another event.

Kiradech Aphibarnrat settled second place at the Singapore Classic, followed by Sam Bairstow, who settled third. Andy Sullivan finished in fourth place, followed by Mathieu Pavon and Paul Casey. Shubhankar Sharma secured the seventh spot in a tie with Rhys Enoch, Alejandra Del Rey, and David Micheluzzi.
